Word of mouth

I have had many ideas in life regarding my career plan and how I thought it should go. None were a long-term success, sadly. I say this because “life” can get tricky and steer you off course, in a different direction. Now, I have recently entered into the notary public domain. So, by word of mouth, I am working on building my flexible notary business alongside my full-time position as a substitute teacher!

Life & Accidents

Obstacles in life have a way of making you slow down and reassess what is REALLY IMPORTANT!

I have not taken the time to work on my website or part-time notary business due to a curve ball thrown in my direction. Just over a month ago while I was on my way to Wal-Mart I was in a car accident. Since then, I have been dealing with the car insurance company, the rental car company, car dealerships (not fun), the neurosurgeon, the neurologist, the physical therapist, the pain management doctor, and the personal injury attorney. The fun thing is I had to be extricated from my vehicle because my legs ended up pinned between my seat and my dashboard. After the airbag deployed I remember the feeling of not being able to breathe and having the wind knocked out of me. I had minor injuries to my right thumb and left wrist. I remember thinking, I now understand how people can break their wrists or suffocate from the impact of the airbag, and that’s scary! Thankfully, we now have a -new to us- vehicle. Sadly, we now have a car payment. The funny thing is (ironic) that I have five weeks left to pay off the $2,400 that I owe on the vehicle and only four weeks of work/pay coming (full-time substitute teacher). I’m praying for a miracle!

On a happier note, I am EXTREMELY GRATEFUL that my 11-year-old (who usually comes with me everywhere) decided to stay home that fateful day! If anything were to happen to my child(ren) I would never forgive myself!

Now, I wait for more medical bills to arrive and then forward them to my attorney. So, did you know that an ambulance bill is just over $2,700?! Well, that was my ambulance bill. I about died when I saw the amount.

The doctors and attorney keep telling me that I should be at home recovering and I would love to but, like I told them, “Are you going to pay my bills?”.

Have you ever had a car accident with someone who ran a stop sign? What was the outcome of your situation?

Remote can be fun!

My name is Korrine. I am a licensed Indiana notary public who offers mobile and remote notary services with a scheduled appointment.

As a mobile notary, I can meet at your business or a public place- for example, the Indianapolis Public Library or a Starbucks location. I can travel within a 20-mile radius of Indianapolis. In addition to the notarial fee, an additional fee of $0.49 per mile traveled will be charged. If services are needed and the signer is further away, or you want an appointment between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. or you need a weekend appointment please schedule a remote computer/laptop session instead.

As a remote notary, I can provide service 24/7 online through the Blue Notary platform. The fun part is you can be in the comfort of your own home for a remote notarization appointment. *For your information the platform requests the use of camera/video and audio recording of the notarial signing for both the notary and the signer.

If you want to schedule an appointment or have any questions please contact me at: korrineclayton78@gmail.com. In the subject line type: Notary Needed.

*** I currently work as a full-time substitute teacher so, please be aware that my e-mail responses might have a 24-hour turnaround time. Just until summer break, which begins at the end of May 2024. – Thank you!
